In the film, I have heard of the film Jennifer's Body, however, I have not viewed it. The film has been on my list of movies to watch for awhile. Since I have never seen the film, I took advantage of watching the trailer to get an insiders look at the theme. After viewing the trailer, the film looks funny. It is a comedy with a mix of horror genre. In my opinion, there seems to be a parody off of the movie Mean Girls. The movie seems to be a typical high school comedy. The characters host a hot and popular cheerleader and then the typical odd and nerdy girl. They are complete opposites of each other, but they are best friends. The popular girl is named Jennifer, and she only seems to care about herself. The dorky friend Needy, seems to care about Jennifer and helps her out. After watching the trailer, Jennifer has a secret, that she likes to kill boys. This becomes a huge plot twist within plot the movie. The movie really seems to mirror the  Mean Girls film, but Jennifer resembles more of a demonic and insane Regina George. My impression is that Jennifer takes a comical approach. When viewing the trailer, I was laughing. She expresses her character with lines that are just so unexpected that portraying  incongruity theory. Many things she says is unexpected or just unnecessary, but still gives humorous tone. Jennifer’s Body also portrays the theory of benign violation. Many things Jennifer, and even Needy, says can push the limits where the language content might be to mean or inappropriate. However, it creates a happy medium to the storyline. Overall, the movie Jennifer's Body, is a movie that I would want to view in entirety. It appears to be an interesting twist to the movie Mean Girls. The movie seems to be a good example of displaying the incongruity theory and benign violation theory.
