The show Tom and Jerry is a classic. Tom and Jerry was a show that appeared in my childhood. Although it was not my favorite show growing up, it always gave me a good laugh. If you didn’t watch Tom and Jerry growing up, you were crazy. The show, Tom and Jerry, is a short series made up of short animated episodes that are about 15 minutes. The show is quite simple. The cat, Tom, likes to chase and create conflicts with the mouse, Jerry. This cartoon is based off of cat and mouse play. What truly makes the show funny is that the characters, Tom and Jerry, are given human abilities. They are smart characters for being a cat and mouse. Most of the show is made of the incongruity theory. The fact that Jerry the mouse can react and respond to Tom’s teasing towards Jerry is so funny. The back and forth satire that is displayed between Tom and Jerry plays out the friction between cat and mouse. One of the best moments of the show is that Jerry the mouse like to use violent weapons against Tom. For example, dynamite. There are just random moments in the show that just make you laugh. Thus, showing the incongruity theory. I would have to agree with you in saying that the scene, “Cat Concerto” is humorous. The two characters battling it out in a piano is extremely funny. Tom can maintain his performance on the piano while Jerry is trying to sabotage his performance. This is a prime example of incongruity theory. Overall, the show Tom and Jerry is quite humorous. It is a prime example to show the incongruity theory. The constant back and forth ness between the cat and a mouse is what makes the show so funny. What makes this show a classic is that it can be watched no matter your age. Although, it may not be my favorite show to watch nowadays, it is still a classic.
I agree with your point that Tom and Jerry is a show that can be watched no matter what age someone is.
